What Post-Processing Software Do You Use?

By Brian Auer • June 26th, 2007

I had a pretty good response with the last reader poll, so I think I’ll try to do more of these. This week, I want to know what kind of post-processing software you use as your primary photo editing tool. I use Photoshop CS3, and many of my articles on post-processing are centered around Photoshop. Maybe most of you use Photoshop and I’m not too far out of bounds, but let me know what you use. As with most of my polls, you can add answers if they’re not listed. I’ll leave this running until next week, then I’ll shut it down and start up a new one.

You can see the results of the last reader poll at “POLL RESULTS: What Type of Camera Do You Shoot With?

  1. I use both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CS2 as part of my normal processing workflow.

I can only select one though, so I voted for Lightroom :P

  2. I haven’t used Lightroom yet, but I hear that it’s pretty impressive. I might break down eventually and give it a shot — I think I need to see it in action first though.

  3. I’m using Aperture and Photoshop CS 3, so I made my own category ;) I prefer Aperture to Lightroom on the Mac but both are really great pieces of software that should be seen as an enhancement to Photoshop, not as competition.

  4. Yup, that’s fine — I saw that somebody else had put a category for Lightroom+Photoshop.

  5. I’m recently using photoscape. It’s very easy to use. http://www.photoscape.org/

  6. Add it to the list then.
