Raoul, I know how you feel about things like this in general. My view is that not all photography worth looking at consists of sweeping landscapes, pretty flowers, and flattering portraits. I find Fredrik's work to be highly creative and imaginative, and I applaud him for stepping outside the bounds of traditional photography to create something new and interesting -- even if it is shocking and nonconforming. It's quite possible that he's a disturbed individual, but I like his work nonetheless.

I don't know why you chose either, Brian, other than to shock the visitor enough into interacting with your post. I found Fredrik Ödman's work very disturbing. Simply put, he disgusts me and seems like a mentally ill individual. At least Eolo Perfido's work had some sort of social criticism value, although he's right "out there" as well. My reaction to both: filthy stuff.

While I wasn't keen on either of them, I voted for Eolo.

I'm not a big fan of 'staged' photography. Fredrik's seemed quite macabre and similar to HR Geiger, while Eolo's was still staged but just that little bit more natural.
