Get Yourself Some MOO MiniCards
By Brian Auer • December 14th, 2007Moo Cards are the best! And no, I’m not being paid to say that. MOO.com is a neat site where you can use your photos to have neat stuff printed. The neatest thing of all are these little half-business-cards called MOO MiniCards. You put a photo on one side and up to 6 lines of text (plus a logo of your choice) on the other side.
Why are they so cool? I don’t know, but people really dig ‘em. I bought a 100 pack almost a month ago and I’ve got about 20 or 30 left. I’ve been handing them out like candy. I brought them on the last photowalk, I always carry 6-8 of them in my wallet, I hand one out with each photo I shoot for the December Challenge, I give them to people at work, I sent my Mom a handful so she could give them to her friends, and I keep the rest in my camera bag.
The other neat thing about MOO is that they can hook up to your Flickr account and let you pick your photos to be printed without having to upload anything. Seriously, these things are a great way to promote your photos and your websites. At $20 per 100 pack (that’s $0.20 per card), it’s not a bad deal considering the quality of these things.

I can’t agree with you more, Brian. I have two different sets. The first set I bought is for my casual/photowalking/amateur photography. It has my Zooomr address, personal blog, email and name on it. The photos I used are all from my photowalks.
The second set I’m using as my professional business cards. They have my business name, Scribe Photography, on them. The photos I used are all from my professional portfolio too.
Do you guys have to say things like that?!? I have been debating ordering some for almost a year now (since I saw them on Flickr for the first time). And you aren’t helping me save money
I’ll second/third that. On top of the cool features you mention, they are printed on really high quality card stock, and the print quality is top notch. I’ve almost gone through one box, and people always comment on how nice they are and ask where I got them.
*sigh* I need a new set, too. I wonder if they’ll get here by the Day After Christmas Photowalk in Hollywood… =/
They might be, but I wouldn’t put any money on it. They ship from the UK, and I think they say at least 10 business days.

Thanks Brian for that tip, I think I will try it for business cards.
I love my MOO cards. I’m not really a professional photographer so I didn’t want an official business card and these fit the bill perfectly. I have been giving them out a lot more lately as well. One person commented about how memorable it was when I handed it over and that was all I needed to hear.

I got my second batch from myminicards.com, they are slightly bigger and the colors are brighter than Moo (I re-printed some from the first batch that I liked).
Overall similar but the second one includes cool little dispensing cases, very neat to share them, I am almost out already, gotta prepare a new batch for this summer.
