Portrait Project at DIYPhotography.net (with prizes!)
By Brian Auer • August 4th, 2008Our friend, Udi, over at DIYPhotography.net is opening up a little photography project on the topic of portraits. This one is way cool because you can choose from three different sub-projects to participate in:
- Black & White Portrait
This category calls for a black & white portrait of someone meaningful to you. I’ll be judging this portion of the project. - Color Portrait
Same as above, but the photo must be in color. Jim Talkington will be judging this portion of the project. - Portrait Photography Tips
The final portion of the project will be a gathering of portrait photography tips. So if you have some good portrait advice, write it down and enter it into the project! This portion will be judged by the project-master, Udi Tirosh.
Each of the three judges will choose a winner from their category, and the winners will receive a free copy of Portrait Professional 8 software! The project will be open for submissions until September 4th, but don’t wait until the deadline to enter!

Groovy! I generally don’t enter contests, but I figured “what the heck?” this time.
